The William Woods Women's XC Team has three races under its belt already.  On September 12th, the lady Owls raced the UCM Mule run in Warrensburg, MO, placing 11th out of 25 teams on the muddy 4K course.  Individual results are as follows: Kristi Palmer 8th (15:32), Cheryl Held 9th (15:34), Jessica Bollinger 19th (16:05), LeeAnn Beard 29th (16:23), Latrice Fletcher 33rd (16:30), Jordan Locke 43rd (16:45), and Lindsey Evans 85th (18:23).  The women were the highest NAIA finisher in the race.

Next, the team traveled to Joplin, MO on September 20th for the Missouri Southern Stampede.  The flat, 5K course had a field of just under 300 runners.  Individual results are as follows: Cheryl Held 29th (18:33), Jessica Bollinger 57th (19:09), LeeAnn Beard 84th (19:34), Latrice Fletcher 90th (19:38), Jordan Locke 114th (20:05), Lindsey Evans 207th (22:43), and Christine Scott 229th (23:32).  The Owls finished 11th out of 35 teams.

After a weekend away from racing, the women's team traveled to Louisville, Kentucky for the Louisville Classic 5K.  The team finished 22nd out of 32 teams in the gold division (fast race).  In a field of 265 runners, Cheryl Held led the Owls with a 84th place finish (18:56), followed by Kristi Palmer in 91st (19:01), Latrice Fletcher in 129th (19:33), Jessica Bollinger in 136th (19:39), Jordan Locke in 206th (20:29), and Lindsey Evans in 250th (22:10).

The Lady Owls will travel to SIUE in Edwardsville, IL on October 11th.
